Who we are

The Daily Grind is run by Alex Kelly, a sole trader in the United Kingdom. Alex Kelly is the data controller for the personal data described here, meaning we decide how and why it is used.

What we collect and why

Favourites and caption history are stored only in your own browser unless you sign in.

Who we share it with

We never sell your data.

International transfers

Some providers may process data outside the UK. When they do, we rely on adequacy decisions or standard contractual clauses to keep it protected.

How long we keep it

We keep your data while your account is open. When you close it, or it's no longer needed, we delete or anonymise it, except where we must keep records by law (for example, tax).

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you can ask to access, correct, delete, restrict or move your data, object to how we use it, and withdraw consent at any time. We'll reply within one month. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).

Security

We use encryption, access controls and private storage so only you can see your captions and photos.

Cookies

We use only essential browser storage to keep you signed in and remember your favourites and history. We don't use advertising or analytics cookies. You can clear this storage in your browser settings, though you'll be signed out.

Contact
